The hotel’s pergolas have been constructed using Glulam Spruce Timber Class III durability grade, suitable for outdoor applications. The material was selected for its resistance to exposure to external environmental conditions, as well as for its suitability for the construction of both structural and secondary components of the pergolas.
Eucalyptus timber has been selected for the shading elements. Eucalyptus is a naturally durable timber species with suitable mechanical properties for outdoor applications. Its use provides both functional and aesthetic benefits, ensuring effective shading while contributing to the overall architectural integration of the structures within the hotel’s surrounding environment.
The combination of Spruce timber for the main pergola structures and Eucalyptus timber for the shading elements provides an appropriate balance between structural performance, durability, functionality and aesthetic quality.
